I installed the C's short shifter this past weekend and for the past 2 days, I notice there is some rattling noise (not very loud though) coming from it. It usually starts at around 4500 rpm. The shifter itself doesn't seem to be rattling, but it's more of a noise coming from the transmission. I thought it was just the spacer bolts being loose, so I removed the console cover, dust boot and stuff to check, but everything seems OK, no loose part or bolt.

Does anybody else with the C's SS (or even the OBX/Pilot one) has the same issue? Is this normal at all? Could it be just the SS itself amplifying normal noises from the transmission? (Plus the fact that I changed to the plastic Nismo GT shift knob, which is quite a bit lighter than the OEM one?) Thanks.

I have had the C's unit for about 5 months now and I have had NO rattling issues at all, at any RPM range. My freinds C's also makes no noise. Check all your bolts.

It's not very loud, but it is definitely noticeable once RPM hits 4.5 - 5K. It sounds kinda like metal parts vibrating, which leads me to think it's the spacer or those plates underneath the spacer at the beginning. But the bolts seems pretty tight when I opened it up and check a while ago. I guess I might have to take it apart and put it back together again later on, 'coz it seems like you guys don't have this problem at all.

Iono, I don't hear mine rattling. I'll listen harder next time when I rev at 5. If it hardly noticeable. Who cares..
