I'll see if I can make it.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but the following weekend is the Denver Grand Prix. Anyone interested in going or meeting up beforehand? I live about 10 blocks away.

Damn, these guys are being pretty secretive about this meet, huh? Anyway, I guess I'll be there if they think I'm cool enough or whatever. See you guys in the springs.

Chokudori

haha, didn't mean to make it so secretive. It's because I wasn't sure if we were going to have the BBQ at my house and I didn't want to give out my address in a public forum. But I think I found a good picnic ground at Palmer Park. So I will be sending out the directions soon.

Or do you guys think I should just post it on the forums? Let me know.

That sounds pretty fun. Are you planning to buy the tickets? or do you know of a nice place that we could see the race for free.

I've been seeing signs and just checked the map. I have no idea how bad security will be or if they'll completely close off that side of town or just the pits and grandstands. Anyone been before?

General tickets didn't seem too bad and would be fine with me if there isn't a parking garage or something we could park on to watch it from. I think it would make a cool backdrop for a small meet and since Road America isn't an hour or two away for me anymore like it was when I lived in Madison and Chicago this looks like my best racing fix for the summer.

I'm gonna try, it'll be worth it. Now if I can only get the parts I need....:bash: lol

I just realized that there are a hell of a lot of races and car stuff going on these next two weeks. You've got D1 in Cali, the Denver Grand Prix (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band....HELL YEAH!!!)and this meet in the Springs. Wow, I wonder what else is going on?

zenkiDori
08-10-2003, 01:38 PM
D1 and Denver GP are the same weekend. so you'd have to choose. oh, and you'd need to buy tickets before going out there.

If my 240sx is done (SR swap) in time, and legal, i will definately be up for a meet/cruise.

By the way...about the Grand Prix of Denver. I work for Centrix Financial (title sponser of the Denver Grand Prix) and i can get hook ups for tickets. Email me at [email protected] and i will see what kind of deals i can get on tickets.

GUAH!!! I hate not having any money. I've got to get rid of these mismatched tires and get my radiator. That damn company still hasn't refunded my money yet either. That's almost $300 bucks of mine that they still have. Hmmmm.....

Oh yeah, looks like COSR is for sale I knew that was gonna happen after that last incident. Damn punk *** hacker. Oh well, all good things must come to an end sometime I guess!

True. Very True, but seriously, did you ever wander from the Nissan Pages. I did once and only once. It was pretty bad. I guess its the Nissan Forums I miss the most.

And yes, I do need to watch my mouth.

zenkiDori
08-16-2003, 12:22 AM
a few times. basically to harass some of the honda people. this guy had a really nice EG6 that ricers were hassling him about cause it wasn't "JDM" enough or it didn't have dubs or ICE or "NAWZZ", and one to ask WTF is up with people who buy last gen preludes.

the only thing good about it really was that i got to hook up with some colorado nissan people.

we just need to start a CO 240SX club with BBS.

Alex, '96 pearl white base zenki, couple blemishes and scratches here and there. Stock engine, mild suspension stuff. I hope I get my sway bars on before the mountain run, can't wait to test them out. Oh, I need to get some new front pads too so I don't rear end anybody.

Name tags are a good idea, hopefully we can all just figure it out ourselves though.

Well...it doesnt look like I will be able to make it for this one. The place that is doing the SR swap for me is having tranny bolts "over-nighted from Japan". The only problem with that is they have been being overnighted for about a week and a half so far. I would drive my other car, but I dont think i would fit in driving an S10 (http://mywebpages.comcast.net/brain52282/Me1.jpg). Well...maybe next time.

Hey Champster, did I see you driving north on Wadsworth around Bowels yesterday 2pm-ish? I don't see many '97-'98 cars around here, so I noticed one(especially it being white). Just wondering..

Looks like I will have to stick with only the rear of my 5 lug swap done for the meet unless someone has the tools to help me get the fronts done. If you wanna help PM me asap :D Here is what I need to do...

Complete Front 5 Lug Swap w Z Brakes, thats not the hard part. The problem is Drilling my Struts Mount Holes to 14mm s14 bolts, Pressing in my Lower Control Arm Poly Bushings, and possibly Pressing in the Moog s14 Ball joint. With the right tools I could get this done in 4 hours :( Ahh well, anyways if anyone has some free time and the tools I need pleeeease let me know! :D All I really need is a press and a nasty drill, Id buy the bit since its going to get destroyed.

If not, I will see yaz at the meet with half 5 lug half 4, Rockin the 15x6 f 17x9 r setup yo! lol

Actually, I got bored just awhile ago and took a hair dryer and pressed them bitchs in with my hands  :D although I still need the Ball Joints in, im scared to get them in with a hammer like everyone says can be done. Maybe Ill give it a try. I dont think im going to go ahead and try and swap the fronts as Im not sure of a shop that can press the old LCA Bushings out and remove the Ball Joints and Press them in, and sadly I cant afford a drill since all my money is in paypal and I cant activate my debit card from them. O well, better to be at the meet with a half complete swap then not be there at all.

Although it's cool to see other people w/ your car and why the chose it. Def. Bring the 300zx guy! Another 240 guys is bringing his 95 Red Integra because his 240 is down. Hey mark, I had a friend with a 5 ton press and I still couldn't press my bushings since I didn't have a good collar, or something to keep the bushing straight as it pressed in. I took it to a parts store with a machine shop in the end for like $30 to do my tie rod and LCA.

In any case, I plan to go to the meet and will probbaly be stopping in highlands ranch that morning for an emmissons test. PM me if you want to caravan down to CS.

Do you know what shop you went to? I know Bear Frame and Axle can do it, but they will want like $150 for it.

I donno if anyone will have a Caravan, I think all the DTown people are meeting at Krispy Kreme, no big deal if you dont. If your headed back from the emissions place in HR turn right out of the Emissions place onto Colorado (north), take your first right on County Line (East) then go about 3-4 miles, past Quebec and you will see a Krispy Kreme sign on the right. Take your first right after Quebec and you should be able to find us. Its on your way to I-25 anyways, so if you can meet up there around 9:45-10:15 and see if someone brought a caravan. I went to a weaver auto parts store in Madison WI. There's an independent parts store up here in Boulder I went to yesterday and will be going to again this afternoon (to grab two quarts of oil) that has a machine shop. I'll ask what they would charge to press the bushings and machinework you listed above.

By caravan, I meant drive as a group of cars, not the Dodge. I'll try to meet up with all you guys at KK. What's the departure time in case the inspection goes longer than planned?

Picture time?? Here is good for me or new linky..I wanna see!

720 Datsun, I use to have a 720 and with a few sand bags in the back..it can do really well on the track. I take it you have the venerable z24 8 plug motor? The live axel can work for you and the front susp. geometry needs reworking but they can do well. I beat the crap out of 350 monte carlos on a circle oval dirt. I even beat alot of them with a B2000 Mazda.

I saw a plethera of info on your engine on the web. A 4 barrel carb works good!

The live axel can work for you and the front susp. geometry needs reworking but they can do well. I beat the crap out of 350 monte carlos on a circle oval dirt. I even beat alot of them with a B2000 Mazda.

I saw a plethera of info on your engine on the web. A 4 barrel carb works good! yes but will it pass smog in california(getting staioned there after my remote tour). ive read up alot on webbers and dual side drafts.

California emissions are so strict that only a handful of legal production cars that are non Californian will pass. I don't know but is it that in the military...you can keep your plates from your home state and not bother with a re-register and get past the hose check?

Back in the days...When my Brother joined the army all the way through 25 years of it..no matter where they put him..he retained his legal residence in Florida , liscense, plates and all.

I hate my life right now. I was SO stoked to go but that damn Parts Components Int'l is still screwing me over. They told me that my money will be in my account tomarrow but I find that statement as :bs: . SO I'm going to press charges if my money isn't back in my bank by tomarrow. I still don't have ins. and plates yet and my radiator has a HUGE crack in the top endtank. I tried to fix it with a blow torch and melted zip ties. It works for about 50 miles but then the thermal stress causes it to crack. Close, but no cigar. So if anyone, ANYONE has a stock radiator laying around, let me know please. MY BABY NEEDS TO BE COOL!!! I will pay cash for it too.

Ask ZenkiDori, he might want the black top. Don't think he'll want the exhaust though. Hell, if I had the money, I'd take it.

If I don't even have enough money to get my radiator, insurance, registration and much more, RENT, I doubt I'll be buying any cars soon. Besides, I've got a 1980 BMW 320i I'm trying to sell. You want one?

Oh, one more thing. How was the meet? Did anyone get any pix of the meet?
