Ok so I took my AC to get recharged because I thought that was the problem. But apprently that's not it. When I took it to the shop they said the AC kicks on then suddenly cuts off (no cold air blowing). Just wondering if anyone has any ideas why this might be happening.

probably one of the sensors Either the Thermo Control Amp, pressure switch or your expansion valve is stuck open.

umm, if it shuts off as soon as it kicks on, i would think there's a clog in your system tripping the high pressure sensor...

why didn't the shop that you took it too just diagnose it? tons of places in georgia do free AC diagnostic checks, look around for a reputable one that does for you ^_^

This shop was used by my job and I noticed that they did pretty good work. As for the AC it doesn't turn the system off it just stops blowing cold air.

exact same thing is happening with mine. not sure what it is but id like to know too!
