The story is I bought a sr20det 240 coupe and its been sitting while I buy more parts for it,The setup is pretty much stock ie,.

redtop sr
walbro 255lph
greddy fmic
electric fan
hks downpipe
little buddy club battery

other then that its stock
I check the plugs and all have the white tips,The car runs just fine but the gas is almost 4 months old,Also the gap was at 0.40 which was a huge gap which should be around 0.28,The cars been running 7 psi boost since I bought it and I have no wideband to monitor afr at the moment,I know the white usually meens heat/lean but I'm wondering if old gas could play a roll in this?Timing is stock still havent checked fuel pressure but I'll do it tomarrow.Everything seems good but the plugs make me worried.

The plugs are BKR7E,Any input on what I should check next?Could the gap being that far off or bad gas cause this? Also noticed when I wired in the electric fans it seems to steal some of the fuel pumps power so maybe I should rewire the pump or ground it out better, seems like most things running on acc are taking some juice from the pump

Great now I'm second guessing myself,It seems I cant go off the ground strap on the spark plug for a/f ratios theory says thats for telling spark plug heat range and timing indicator.....

Reading Spark Plugs Correctly (http://www.angelfire.com/fl4/pontiacdude428/Readplugs.html)

Spark plug reading (http://www.4secondsflat.com/Spark_plug_reading.html)

^^ ^^
So if this is the real way to read a plug then my car is actually running rich because of the black soot on the base ring (the jetting)and porcelan is a light brownish.

If this is the case then where did the white shit come from on the ground strap? I'm thinking the massive 0.40" + ish gap was turning the tip white like that but I'm still gonna double check some stuff and ditch that crappy old gas before I drive it.This whole time Ive been investigating a lean condition and according to the internet I was wrong all along =/ fck me...
