hey guys
i have a ca18det got it from a 180sx and transplant into my datsun 1600 sss (already upgraded the bolts, pistons, got blitz BOV and also an aftermarket intercooler from HKS)
anyway, the t25 turbo kit from the ca18det kinda spooled to slow and lagged and methinking about upgrading it to a better one
not really aiming for much but a friend suggested a t25 (AR80) from an sr20det should fit just fine
a friend could score that turbo for about 600 dollars my currency (thats around usd 210)

my question is, arent both the t25s from CA18det and the SR20DET the same or?
i also find it weird cuz i always thought sr20det uses t28s

please advise...

TQ

T25 from an SR is an OK upgrade to the CA18 but for IMO only if your getting the turbo free or really cheap. If your spending est. $210 for a T25 save a little more and just go T28. Gain will be much better from SR T25. GL!

the T25 on the SR is a small upgrade over the pea shooter that is the CA snail. if you are looking for cheap and not too much gains........ it is a good addition.

assuming you have proper support mods.

I'm running a s14 sr t28 on my car. Rocked a t25 for awhile and the t28 woke the car up. Very nice turbo to upgrade to

i've checked the t25 on that sr20det engine and the mechanic explained that its a t25 with t28 internals
it uses t28 compressors

what does it mean?
