I know there is Darton/HKS/etc sleeves available but Im wondering if I can pick up OEM Sr20det sleeves from anywhere... my #2 & 3 took quite a bit of a beating from detonation.

Thanks :)

I believe those are Inserts. There are no Stock "Sleeves" Just the Solid block, atleast from looking at a picture of an SR Block...

Really so forged pistons and rings just scrape across aluminum with no wear?

All aluminum block have sleeves.

They're cast into the block - they are not "user servicable."

Just bore your engine out to get a clean bore. If it isn't cleaned up by the time you get to 87mm, then you need to put in aftermarket sleeves.

Its pretty bad guys, thanks for the input. either new block or sleeves... depending on how much the local engine shop will charge me if I will sleeve it.

Not all aluminum blocks. Porchse, older jags, modern powersports use a nickel type coating on aluminum blocks with no sleeve.
