i hear a rattling/vibrating noise everytime i hit a bump or shift gears hard from my passenger side rear coilover...any ideas what can be wrong...when i stand on the back and rock the car i hear nothing...wtf is the problem? lol

have you checked the suspension parts, bolts, bushings, etc?

What kind of coils?
Sounds like the top nut is loose. My coils did the same thing when I first got them.

yeah check the nut on top of the coil, might be loose

they are stance GR+...and yea ive only had them on for 3 months...do i have to take the wheel off to fix the top nut?

have the same problem really bad banging noise from both rears jsut put my coils in yesterday they are pbm`s. what is the deal with a coilover top nut?

nope its the nut under the dampening nob jst tighten that up and see if it works, mine use to make so much noise on every bump found that was my problem

I had the same coils.
Its completely normal as long as you preloaded them correctly.
try tightening down the upper bolt. It helps a lot.
But yes its normal.
I actually called stance to ask that!

what if turning the top nut and all it does it turn and doesnt tighten? these are on pbm coilovers..

it turns out there was nothing wrong with the coilover, after having the car up on the lift i was able to see that the noise was coming from a weighted block that sits above the control arm or another steel piece connected to the suspension. The weight is there to help the stock suspension not contract as much. The one side came loose and started to bang against my frame, i found out since i have coilovers the weight was pointless and removed it from both sides, saved myself 10 pounds haha...check it out if you have them on yours...

if its just turning isnt the thread stripped.. i had to just saw it off and replace it awhile back
