Ok so yesterday at one of my local drifting events at the end of the day when i was clutch kicking and getting on throttle then shifting i noticed smoke coming from under my hood when ever i shifted or clutched in. Opened the hood and noticed oil was in my bov so i reved it a bit so the bov could do its thing and yeah smoke/oil coming from it, Now ive had this happen before on a used unknown mile's t25 that i got with the car so i figured turbo seals and i just replaced it with a s15t28. I got it brand new from olympia nissan and it only has roughly 800 miles on it if that. So i don't think its the turbo seals because it was professionally installed at the top shop in my area. Portland Speed Industries or PSI for short.
EDIT: I do not have a oil catch can could this b why?
Any ideas? Or Anyone know why this could b happening.

thats the only reason. open up your cold pipe and see whatchu got goen on next to the turbo.

If it's only 800 miles, maybe it's just oil blow-by and it's burning in your hot pipe and/or intercooler.
Does the S15 turbo require some sort of oil restrictor on it?

hmmm oni jake may be right. i'm not sure if the s15 requires an oil restrictor but they may very well be the cause. did you have turbo lines installed with the turbo or just factory...?
IIRC, when installed on a S13 SR, the S15 turbo does require oil restriction.
It could also be true that your crank case pressure is getting too high.
Have you ever blown your dipstick out?
Condition of your PCV valve?
Good luck.

When doing the s15 turbo i got the braded lines from frsport for it and clocking plates.
Ive never blown my dipstick out. And i havent checked pcv yet.

I forgot to mention i do not have a oilcatch. Could it just b blow by and its because i dont have a oilcatch can?

Check out the turbo inlet and see if its all oily, Also Get a catch can and see how much its filling up or use a metal can for temporary use.
Could be a number of things blow by, turbo, bad pcv, rings, Do a compression test or leak down.

it does require one and if your not running one it will cause smoking and will coat your charge pipes with oil.

sounds like your answer right there. Get the oil restrictor. I would also install the oil catch. PCVs are cheap.

Amused you never ask this stuff on local forums... ;)
Ball bearing turbos generally take a .036" restrictor.

Do you still have the line from the T on the valvecover connected to the intake neck still? If it is, oil could be coming from there.
If its not connected, time to check your turbo for shaft play. If its puking oil, it might be too late.
Also, does it feel like you're loosing power. Buddy of mine did this and he blew the engine with no compression in #3 cylinder.

Flip Thanks man i just got off the phone with my mechanic and he says 99 percent of the time on sr's witht he crank vent (t fitting) that when your going hot lappin/drifting oil will jump up in there. So i fixed it thanks everyone!
Haha e1 thats because everyone gives me s about it, i talked to mark today and he helped me figure it out.

My money is on this....it used to happen to me, till I figured out how to run my catch can "properly" so that the LIQUID oil droplets drain back into the head through the valve cover and only vapor passes through to the catchcan

My problem was because exaclty jsp said i tilted the valve and it fixed most of the problem. But when i was hot lapping over and over it still happened so im just going to get a oilcatch can and solve the problem.
