This is my first time posting... sorry if im doing this all wrong. But lets give it a try.

I just bought this 95 s14 sr20det 5speed. about a month ago. (I don't know much about them, been relying on my friends for advice.) When I got it, it was not running it just turns over all it needed was spark.

So I got a few suggestions on the CAS well I tried a different CAS and still no spark. Then was told maybe its the timing so it was re-timed still nothing. I tried the igniter chip in a different car and it started right up. I checked all fuses and relays I noticed 1 relay buzzing like crazy so I had a extra and replaced it. So it couldn't be any of the obvious things... So I bought a new ECU before it arrived I saw the harness and how bad it looked. I decided to pull it and get rid of all the butt connectors and solder it so it looked somewhat clean. I then reinstalled the harness. Now I have NO power what so ever to the ecu or any of the upper harness. I checked all the grounds and power wires all seem fine no power going to a ground and no ground going to power. All fuses tho are getting power still except 1 i think it was the ignition fuse or something. but the fuse is still good. just no power to it. >.<

if anyone can help me on this problem would be much appreciated its frustrating beyond belief. thank you.

i would help u if you were closer. your going to have to get out the multimeter and check continuity between ecu plug and connectors. g6xcivic did a writeup on what wires go where if you can't find the fsm. probably someone butcherer your harness. Also check to make sure your chassis plugs are plugged in and wired correctly for the swap. Should be a grey and brown plug but im not so familiar with s14 sr's

Ya i was doing that today with all grounds and powers. I read somewhere one of the relays controls power to the ecu and another relay by the ecu needs to be unplugged for some reason.. So im thinking maybe its the relays, might be bad or sticking.

i wish i just left it alone till i got the ecu. :bash:
