SR trouble cranking

My SR has trouble cranking, and sounds strained- the car hasnt run in about two months. I put in a new battery, and checked to make sure the engine wasn't hydrolocked already (cranked w/o injectors or plugs).

The crank sounds strained, doesn't sound good. When it didn't have compression, no fuel came out but it cranked freely.

Ideas? I just installed the ecu with a new rom tune, 550cc injectors, and 264 cams.

dual starter relay in front of car...
is ur clutch pedal bypassed?
the neutral safety is connected thru that relay in the front and if the safty side messes up u get a strainded start sound

or u could have bad grounding.. happened to me..

Yeah the pedal is bypassed, car used to be an auto.

Still wont crank, tried tightening battery connections.

I dont know how it could have a loose ground, i didnt really change anything since it ran..

ideas?
