View Full Version : the haze on my headlights

does anyone know how to remove the haze that forms on the headlights of an s14.. i checked the forums and tried those suggestions.. those helped me get rid of the yellowish tinge but not haze... any suggestions??:confused:

If you search a little harder, you will find more info. Like the supra F.A.Q. on taking the lenses apart and cleaning them. Or using 2000grit wet-sand, mild acetone (nail polish) sometimes works, a plastic polish available at your local parts store and more.

Be very careful with the acetone, it will eat your paint quicker than a fat kid would gobble up a bucket of chicken.

Yes, this is true. But also if you use the 100 percent acetone, it will eat the plastic housing as well. I use some crap from walmart, in a pink bottle (nail polish remover by Equal, walmart's brand).

ok ill probably have to try the 2000 grit sand paper since thats the only thing i havent tried yet.. is there any special techniques on how to use the sand paper...rub hard,rub soft, wax on, wax off etc.:bowdown:

Make sure to use plenty of soapy cold water and light rubbing. Then use the plastic wax after you have finished
