i have a 92 s13 coupe with ka25de. just recently did the needle in the temp gauge start jumping around. when the car is at idle the needle reads the correct temp, but when u give it some gas it starts jumping around. i have no idea why this could be doing this. help me. it bugs. any input helps out. thanks folks

Either a bad temp sensor or bad temp gauge. Pretty common from what I understand. I have the same thing going on. I think I am going to go with an aftermarket gauge as soon as I figure out a good way to hook it up.

You could try sanding the tab on the temp gauge sensor and see if that does anything.

thanks guys...ill try the sanding the tab and see wat happens...if it dont work i guess try changing the sensor...if that dont do it then it has to be the temp gauge itself right...

Bad grounds -- either clean them or add a couple extra.

See the problem is you have a cluster for a KA24DE but you now have a KA25DE, you need a cluster for a KA25DE....
Just kidding check your grounds
I wouldn't trust the stock temp gauge any ways
it will over heat before the needle even moves up...

sensors tend to go bad more often than gauges. get a new sensor. only like 15 bucks at the dealer.

where is the sensor located at exactly
