Heh, I just finished the body today I painted it white just like my s14 Tomorrow I am cutting the drivers side of the car (LHD) to accomodate for my annodized purple performance exhaust.

This thing rocks. I'm going to finish up my red NSX soon.

Is it gas powered also?

haha, yeah, my girlfriend worked on it with me. I drilled all the post holes and attached the wing and painted the car. She cut it out and did all the decals. It was a pretty cool set up

It'll be fun to see how the car handles with the body because I haven't driven it with one on yet. It's got all wheel drive too. Next thing is to buy some white wheels and a mini SR20 LOL

Sure is. I'm still learning about the R/C world because this is my first car but I couldn't resist when I saw that they had an S15 body. Much to my shagrin they didn't have an S14 or S13 (they aren't even made). I nearly stormed out, but decided an S15 would do.

How much did it all cost?

The car itself is about $200 which isn't too bad for the type of car that it is.

It is rated at 50+mph, is AWD, has adjustable coil over type suspension in the front and rear. When you buy new tires, you have to buy wheels because they glue together, so that will be about $30 for four, the body was about $20 and the paint about $5. All the decals on the car come with the body and they give you enough to make your car look straight out of F&F but I wanted to make it look as stock as I could.

The cool thing is that since the car weighs about 3lbs the body and wing you choose can actually make a significant difference in it's handling. I'll be interested to see the difference with the Silvia body and then I might play some physics games by altering a test body to try and provide more stability at speed

Man, I actually read this and thought you got a real S15. I got all excited. I first looked at the picture, and I'm thinking "that's a rather peculiar angle. It looks kind of strange... what's that big red thing hanging up from the "ceiling"... where was this picture taken....".

Then I busted out laughing at myself.

Hey! Nice car, man!

i have an AE (associated electronics) battery powered car, RWD, also has adjustable coil overs, even has an LSD lol

mine's a truck, with a reinforce alluminum tub

c/f shock towers

it's meant for off road racing, but the place that was the most fun was racing on a wooden basketball court, it drifts like a mofo

mine didn't change really at all when i put the body on it, but i think that's mostly just because it's not an aerodynamically designed body, and the chassis and support members are way over engineered...

on mine, however, the tires are held on my a bead and 3 dots of CA cement, not glue all the way around, the tires don't hold air, but use foam inserts like tubes, the tires are easy to change, the little dots of glue can be broken and shaved off with an xacto knife

just sharing...

Oni: Yeah, you can get SKyline bodies. They offer the R34 and the R34 GT-R. They are actually pretty cool, I'll probably get the GT-R body next and paint it a cool blue color or something.

Drifting: LOL, I dunno. The area I have been driving it in is too small to get it going fast enough. I am going to go in to this big parking lot later and we'll see. I'll report back

S13grl: I took the pictures on my kitchen floor And trust me, I wish I really did have an s15 Silvia. I wouldn't be here though because I'd be driving that #### car all over the place

Those things are great! My friends got one with the Saleen Mustang body. He got a modified exhuast, and some stiffer springs. Its wicked fast! One of these days ill have one too. I will wither go with the S15 body, or a clasic body of some sort (if they still have em.)

What are the dimensions of that car? I wonder if you could fab a 180sx body for it.

I found this S13 Silvia body on Ebay but I don't think it will fit on that particular car.

LOL, it's a Streetforce. It's my first R/C so I am still learning but it seems to be pretty good.

Transient, this particular body is 190mm wide (don't know the length, probably about 8 - 10 inches). There are bodies available in 200mm.

ya my bro has one of those r/c cars. He got it for a birthday present. But first time he used it we didnt go anywhere open to test it ( you prolly know where this is goin). So we started it in the street and there wasnt any traffic. this was his first time using it and wen he pressed the accelarator that thing took off and i mean took off. but the prblem is is that it took off into a curb. what had happened was the battery pack was lose and once it hit the ground coming out of the drive way one of the batteries fell out. So the steering wasnt working and it hit a curb. The engine didnt turn off and the wheel turned to the right and it kept going in circles at full throttle and parts were flying everywhere and it was the hardest thing to catch cuz it was like rollign all over the place. We had no control whatsoever it just kept going in circles and it eventually ended up on the lawn and I caught it. We got all the parts back. the back right suspension coil needs to be fixed and the front bumper also needs to be rebent. When my brother gets some money he plans on egtting a new engine and a new body.

those thing are pretty loud though. it sounds liek a lawnmower when you turn it on.

You should be able to go to a hobbie shop dealing in R/C. There is one in my area and it's all R/C planes and cars. They have just about everything you need including mechanic type stuff.

I don't know of any starter kits and honestly I got in to it when I saw some friends driving them. Three months later my girl bought me one for x-mas

I was so much into R/C before. And yes, I used to drift too!!! I had an HPI Rally, and when the tires would go bald I'd put it on the road and it just slides everywhere, so much fun! It was 4WD too, so I did burnouts on all 4 wheels, no smoke tho.

It got kinda expensive, cause I lost my job, so I gave it up. When I found a new job I just forgot about it and focused on my real car. I might get another one, just one tho. Make it a replica of my real one.
