I don't live in TN. I live in VA. If you or the NC guys ever set up a meet at the Tail of the Dragon, you can count me in. I've been wanting to drive it since I've heard about it. Mmmm...curvy backroads.:D

i'm down for a meet. last meet i went to was a honda-tech meet. it was held in nashville. i think thats a good place to go since its kind of in the middle. of course we need more than 5-10 people for a good meet. thats the problem with tennessee i don't think there are that many 240 enthusiasts here. the honda-tech meet turned out pretty good though.

hey guys just to let you know I live in E. tn and so far I have about 5 different guys wanting to get a meet together as well...I live in knoxville to be exact...I have to get my car done though before the meet...unless I wanna drive it without the fenders and bumpers and headlights lol...I've wired my s15's in but I gotta order my bumpers and fenders...and I'm not hasty ...I've found some very unique stuff and I'm waiting for it to play out in the design...mostly though half of the guys I know have s14's and the rest are s13's...drifting? anyone? I'm from Seattle and I drift...trying to get more practice though...god knows you can never get enough...but we need a track around here badly!! anyway if anyone is interested in getting these 240 clicks' together for a meet holla at me peace!!! oh by the way...I'll be running stock KA other than intake and small mods until December then I'm getting a RB26 from munleeauto.com and using mckinney's new!!! mounts and kit...so why not run the hell out of this ka while I'm at it!!!

yeah an open...and I mean really really open parking lot or even a track would do well...I like drifting...I mean drag's cool too...but I'd rather drift...or hone my skills...right now I just practice in some of the really big company parking lots here... and drift around poles and stuff...sometimes I set up some cheap walmart cones...oh yeah and the occasional public corner drift...which I actually need to stop doing people are getting pissed.

I might be interested in a meet so long as there's no jackassery going on.

I live pretty close to Deal's Gap. It's not something you wanna **** around on if you're not pretty accustomed to performance driving - but it's a helluva lot of fun. Another thing you guys might wanna note is that the cops up there don't **** around.

Where in Knoxville are you? Do you ever come to the Books a Million meets on Kingston Pike on Wednesdays?

If you do, do us all a favor and don't show your ass out there. We've lost enough sites because of people trying to be cute and drift or burnout in a parking lot where we got permission to meet up.

it's ok I wouldn't even be showing my car's ass out there...I'll come out when it's legal to drive lol...it's not registered yet and I gotta get it cleared by the dot first...but I'll come out and look at some of the cars sure...I'll bring my silver s15's too if ya wanna see em. Anyway I won't be done with my car I'm guessin till the end of January as far as the paychecks are coming...that's body, engine, paint, suspension. So...if I wanted to go with common cheap stuff it would be done sooner but I'm sourcing alot of things from Japan and AU so it's gonna take time an patience...but hey anything worth doing is better of doing right the first time...later. Oh and I live in powell so books a million would be awesome I'll let some of my buddies know.

Just let em know that anybody's welcome to come out, but that they should try to respect the scene and the businesses that are allowing us to use their parking lots for meets by not running around doing burnouts and blasting their systems and ****.

Swoop411, depending on the time of year, we could maybe get a real big meet together again like the one we did a couple years ago in Knoxville that included drag racing at Knoxville Dragway and playing on the Dragon's Tail. Guys from NC, TN, GA all showed up for that and it was a lot of fun, except for a few immature people showing their asses off and getting in trouble with the law.

How about sometime in the spring?

Spring would be awesome...my car should be mostly done exterior wise for the overrall look ... and the new engine should be in...don't know if I'll have time to work out the suspension like I want it totally but who knows...maybe paychecks will get bigger soon due to the holiday season. That would be nice. Anyway let us know where the meet's gonna be...thanx.

Just find a date that's good for everybody to get together sometime around March or April, I suppose.

When and were is the national meet next year? I guess we'll have to work around that.

We could set it up for a weekend when there's an autocross in Knoxville, and that Sunday we could all go to it maybe.

well maybe my car won't take that long just got a new job @ a restaurant making like 500+ a week...so hopefully it won't take that long...and as far as the Books a Million meet here in knoxville...I dunno about that I drove by there last nite and it looked like a bunch of hondas and crap..bout the only guy I have respect for is the one with the red supra...didn't see any s14, s13's or diddly out there...and there were people burning out and um how did that one guy put it "showing their asses" out there...so I don't know if I'll come out or not even when I do get done. We'll see. Also there's a guy with a black 95' SE KA-T w/ 97-98 taillights that works @ American Radio right up the street...he's interested in meeting too..just not where a bunch of little honda geeks and such are going to be blowing their coffee can mufflers and stuff...gotta keep it polite and such...So anyway let me know when some 240 guys are going to be out there and I'll come check it out...won't be in my car though. later.

Bully for you. Strawberry face 240SX's are dumb, but it's your money.

Then you weren't looking. I was there with my fastback, and there were two other 240s there. One maroon 95-96 and the guy driving was being a ricey asshole and burning out and **** leaving. The other one was a silvery colored 95-96 with a carload of high school thugs in it. I guess you missed the ****load of Z's and RX7's and the other Supra that was there.

We try to tell them, but it's hard to keep the trash away.

I know Copeland pretty well. He's got the exhaust and taillights off the 97 that I wrecked.

There was a 240 guy there, but you didn't bother looking. There's not enough 240SX owners around here that aren't superstreet-induced morons for it to be worth trying to get a meet together, so I go see my friends that drive other cars instead (remember all the Z's and Supras and RX7s there? What about the turbo BMW? Guess you were just paying attention to the dumb **** you saw there instead.

nah ...I got there kinda late probably like 1030 ish if I remember correctly...I'm not that dumb I know a 240 when I see any model year...obsession I guess you could call it. Anyway I was out playing ball at JFF like I usually do I rolled up in the mom's minivan lol...pretty funny...I talked to the guy in the red supra and he said they were getting ready to do an RB swap too ...I dunno if he meant the 26' swap that just was made a whole lot easier by Mckinney or not...maybe he was referring to the 25' ...I dunno. Oh by the way there's a 25' on ebay for 250 buy it now...I'd jump on it if you want it ...of course you'll have to buy a turbo and **** for it as well as a tranny but for 250 that's pretty good for the engine. Oh and as far as the remark to the s15 conversion...I went the extra mile...I sourced a rare version of them (silver) from Japan. And I plan on making it a widebody...I'll meet you there next Wednesday and explain to you some of the parts I'm getting and let you take a look and then tell me if it's your run-of-the-mill silvia cuz it won't be...I have no bills or anything so you can guess where all my money is going. Anyway yeah hope to see ya out there next wednesday...maybe we can talk about some junk...and I can get some more of your opinion on what I should do with my car...it's better to hear other people's likes when you're trying to build a show car. So anyway later man gotta go to school. Oh and Saturday nites @ the clinton hwy plaza me and another guy have been going...he's got a maroon 95 se...it's pretty nice...not a whole lot of mods but clean. Anyway maybe see ya out there peace.

The guy that drives a maroon 95 SE, does he talk about driving Skylines all the time?

Heh.

I'll tell you right now what I think you should do to it: Don't make it a show car. Doesn't matter how rare and special the parts are.

Again, though, that's just me. :)

Sup guys, i thought i might chime in...

We are holding our 3rd Annual show May 8 in Johnson City, TN (about 1.5 hours from Knoxville, 4 from Nashville) Co-Sponsored by FTR Motorsports

I think this would be the perfect opportunity to have a meet/show off your car.

I will post details later as to the car show and times and such.

Look forward to seeing a good turnout.

Later guys

hate to "re-open" this thread, but I went to Nashville, TN this weekend on a business trip. I may be moving operations there in the next few months, but I was terrified at the lack of import scene...

I'm really hoping that there are more souped up imports than the 2-3 I saw the whole weekend..

I was excited about maybe meeting some fellow 240SX people, or hanging out with the locals...

But, I couldn't find a soul....
