s13 from the land of the long white cloud

hey,

been browsing zilvia for a year or two now thaught i might throw up my build and updates if anyones interested,

i got a chance to drive a freinds s14 and from then on in i've been instantly hooked on drifting.
From then i spent ages looking for my first rwd and information all over the net,
i ended up wanting a s13 so i looked for something as tidy as i could find, it ended up taking about 6months to find a near perfect s13 with sr20de, nice paint no damage and registered. i paid 4k nzd for it

i cant find pictures of when i first got it.
but this was about 6months after i got it i knew i wanted to be low as most of my other cars had been and then i started learning about offset and fitment
it had here 5stud and big brakes put on, adjustable coilovers and some 18x8/18x9 +30 volk gtcs with a gtr grille,

look at that paint! i kind of regret not beating on it hard enough with stock fenders and then going widebody and a kit after it became abit rough
this build has been such a learning curve and also a waste of money going through so many unecessary steps to get to where i wanted, i guess thats just the way it is though. if i was to do it again id find a dirt cheap shell and build it from there as i ended up ditching all the mint interior plastics and blowing the motor anyway! :madfawk:

but from there i decided i wanted to add a turbo to my sr20de and i started buying bits, 3inch exhaust, tomei 720cc injectors, intercooler and piping, t28 turbo, manifold and external wastegate

then i had it all road tuned by a local guy and it went pretty good and made new louder and better noises i was happy and i went about getting it to the track to learn to slide,

it lasted 2 days then the rod shot through the block, 14psi seemed just a little too much i think!

over the next month or so i had a new motor ready to go in, and i decided to go wider and lower so i got a uras kit and some front and rear wide gaurds
so i sold the volk gtcs and bought some 17x9.5 +12 work xd9s and 17x10 +5 cybers powdercoated green

I extended the exhaust past the big kit as it stuck in way to far and baught a new bucket seat
got a new motor in ready for some and dropped the boost down to 12psi

blew another motor when the oil filter popped off, at this stage i was pretty pissed and was going to put one more block in and then call it quits.
i had sorted some $ for motor and basically wanted a 2jz but then a forged engine setup came up for sale from a national drifter he had just rebuilt the motor and decided to part out his car i jumped on this straight away and got to work which then came big wheels, bn, paint, the works

19x12 -5 work euroline DH
18x10.5 -8 ssr viennas
18x12 -1 ssr viennas
18x10.5 -7 work rezax 2s
18x9.5 -14 weds kranze lxz
18x10.5 -35 weds kranze lxz

from here ive done a bit of drifting been in a show, and just had a shoot for a magazine where i tidied the car up quite a bit,

trying to get it to handle a bit better whilst still low and im making copys of the kit because i dont think it will last forever

tune next friday! and get my boost controller, boost gauge and fuel gauge working! and a test drift day on sat!

i have had this car a 2 years 2 months now! and it eats most of my spare money as you can tell! cars turning a little more competitive this year but wont be touching the height,

yeah!

car has just been on the dyno lately,

and have changed computers now using a 'link G4' "xtreme" which is the good stuff in nz regarded by all the tuners and good software! next best thing from a microtech. few less features

anyway.

car made 316.4KW at the wheels on 19psi with 520nm of torque, on ethanol e85 fuel.

maxed out the fuel ( 720cc injectors and nismo fuel pump ) going to new 1000cc topmount injectors on a custom rail, a surgetank and a bosch 044 external pump to flow a little better,

looking for 350-360kw on 25+ psi

this is seriously fast for me! and contemplating going up a size in tires! tire fryer

stock sr20det gearbox might not last too long with those sort of numbers,

will get a dyno vid and sheet up soon

hey bud great looking car, just wondering regarding your 10.5j -35 rear end setup - it looks like you are running around, if not less than -1 degree of rear camber. I was wondering how much work you had to put into the 50mm rears to get them to accommodate this? Did you bow them with a guard roller or space them out at the bottom, or both? cheers
