IBTL= in before the lock

Might be quicker if you just tried cutting the brown wire and finding out yourself. If it doesn't work you will now know the answer and its not hard to put back the cut wire.

here's what happens with the brown wire:
1. turn on lights, and they pop up like normal
2. turn off the lights, and smack the pop up button, you can lower them until they are where you want.
3. you cannot have the lights on, and the headlights part way down.

there is some simple wiring to be done so that you can still utilize the lights while they are partway down... idk where that diagram is at though

when you cut that brown wire you have to double click to make adjustment. Then you cant wink anymore

Cutting the brown wire is noob way.

I've engineered an awesome way to use the factory switches to make it sleepy and LIT at the same time, and LIT when lights are down. And many other combinations.

1. No need for Pivot controller crap
2. No need to cut brown wire
3. No need for any aftermarket switches
4. No need for relays, or fuses, or toggles.

It's so simple takes 25 minutes, and it's all OEM buttons used.

I'll make a video of it working, but don't expect me giving away the secrets for free. =)

I sat up one night thinking about the logics behind the pop up headlights and why it does what it does, and simply understood how it worked, and did something to bypass it and by using one of the switch, I can control the pop up, retraction, lights on, lights off.

If you were not going to give away your secrets for free then why did you even post in here. We are here on the board to help each other. Why dont you go make a I will teach you how to do sleepy eye thread in the for sale section

If you are able to read, and sit through a whole youtube video, then this is the way to go.
YouTube - 240sx Sleepy Eye DIY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IM3lPh4VKo)

This is the way i did it. I took a screenshot of the video at 0:27 and printed it out.
Just get all of the required connectors and wire, and a switch, and went to town.
SUPER EASY. Then you can say you did your very first JDM MOD!!!

fuck yo couch
you can also do it with just one switch...

search s13 sleepy eye and look for the nico write up...sleepy eyes and lights function

also...just using the oe system, the lights ive never seen them line up well to oppose using a pivot controller...

i dont care what the different methods ive seen...theyve never been perfectly aligned...

a pivot controll is best...just finding the way to keep them down with lights on is ur next issue...

maybe cut the brown wire...? i dunno...

Wow, really?

A "Sleepy Eye" Thread in 2010?

Pathetic laziness. :lockd:
