Ok it may be a stupid question but im curious. Has anyone tried an SR20VE TURBO?
I understand the sr20 neo vvl was designed for NA but i am curious if anyone has tried turbo charging it.
Jst a random Engine Tech thread...
Also if yes, how hard was it? Specs?

im not sure if it has been tried yet but it would be pretty bad ass. and who cares if it was a NA engine, s2000s were NA and granted, they come with forged internals but look what happens when they put a thicker headgasket, arp head studs and a gt35r set up......they become freeway monsters......anythings possible bro, you should go for it.

this has been done and there are maybe 5 or 6 running sr20vets in the USA. There was even an uber rare jdm sr20vet that was made for some suv type thing in Japan. There is a 300zx somewhere out there with it done (Nico?? maybe) making like 500-600 whp. They are sick but from what I understand you have to beat the hell out of your firewall to be able to make the cam fit.

look on mazworx's site, they sell the kit. VVL sentras are noooo joke fast. And as an s2k owner ill be the one to say it Vtec/VVL is awesome. The VVL heads flow alot better then DET heads also so you'll pick up some power there. You might wanna play with the valve timing because they are setup to be N/A. And unlike VTEC VVL cams work interdependently of each other, The intake cam switches like 500 rpm before the exhaust cam making the torque jump through the roof.

Quite a few people have done this. Brian from MA-Motorsports being the first that comes to mind.
Look around, and you'll find good info on it. Mazworx makes a kit, but there are other ways to do it.
