We are working closely with Fortune Auto and we need your help!
What size spacers would yall like to see more of?
Basically what sizes are the most popular.
We are working together on getting some made and trying to decide what sizes are best.
These won't be crap spacers they will be forged aluminum spacers.
Let us know and thanks for your help!

Those three would be the most popular sizes. however choosing one of the three would be a difficult task. If you want to make money, make "crap" regular spacers in all three sizes, nobody cares if their wheel spacers are forged.

but perhaps, rather than just 'making $' they would like to build a name for themselves by providing quality products. & this in the long run would generate more revenue in the long run. & of course you know this.
perhaps you guys could provide a 30mm hubcentric bolt on spacer? those are pretty hard to find, so perhaps your's would be the company to go to if they were needed?

I'd have to agree with this. 30mm are already hard to find, and at that thickness it's more important that they are forged. That could be your share of the market right there ;D

I think it just depends on what the price looks like knowing how cheap the average 240 owner is

like already mentioned all 3 sizes would be good, but i voted for 25mm since it seems to always be the most popular size that i see people running

Don't matter if the aluminium is forged. The usual issue is the stud.

Try offering one like pbm, where you can make it from 15mm to 30mm with removable disks.

30mm spacer is a winner...
A lot of used (and affordable) JDM wheels come in 18 x 10 +40 or 18 x 9.5 + 35
30's are great for those nice widths with high offsets. :)

idk if making spacers would be the best route i mean yeah there are always a need for spacers but the fact that pbm has got adjustable ones and there known by drifting and fanboi community and are 4 and 5 lug

oh thats such a good point! there ARE a lot of wheels that are usually around those stupid high offsets.

30mm spacer is so fucking peasant.
15 to clear brakes then.
people who are gonna buy wheels with a +40 offset because they are cheap are not going to pay for fancy pants forged arctic underwater military aluminum anything.

ayuaddict is probably right.
but i'm sure if the spacer was forged AND a fancy color it'd sell.
and since it's one choice i vote 30mm

honestly, you should just offer a range of spacers from 5-30mm since everyone has different needs.
i dont know what peasant is supposed to mean, im not down w/ the slang i guess. and not everyone has the funds nor the patience to wait out and save up for a set of $1,600+ wheels. http://www.vrwheels.com/images/A_1417.JPG
these are available @ vrwheels.com right now for under $1,000. use that money you saved to buy some quality spacers & youre set.
"fancy pants forged arctic underwater military aluminum anything." that made me lol

I don't think you understood what i was saying.
Buying cheaper wheels that don't fit well so you can spend the money you saved on baller ass spacers.
or.
Buying wheels that fit your car well without the use of spacers.
which makes more sense?

some adjustable ones would be sicks, where u can start at like 15mm and add 5mm spaces up to like 30, and sell as a bulk for anyone who needs them

at first I read 'PLEASANT' and i thought... ' Most certainly '
I think spacers are a resource to get your fitment right at first.
but ultimately using nengun to import jdm wheels from yahoo auctions is the TRUTH.
I vote for 25's and 30's

spacers which costs less than 100 are not baller. I spent 100 bucks for 4 wheels with tires, plus 50 bucks for two 25mm spacers.
I used the money I saved on "hella boss baller wheels yo!" to buy good coilovers and suspension arms, urethane bushings, etc etc.
I vote for 30mm spacers. I was about to buy PBMax ones when they decided to go all capitalist and stopped making the 30mm which where like $80-90. Now they want me to pay either $150 for their full adjustable set, or $80 for some 15mm ones :mephfawk:
Yeah they are good if you want adjustability, but I just want 30mm ones. Not 3,5,7,8,10,12,15,18,20,22,23,25,27 or whatever. Just goddamn 30mm.
If you make some decent hubcentric ones, and keep the price within reason, I think there'd be a market for persons who know exactly what size they need/want.

YES!!!
also make
5 x 114.3 > 5 x 120
4 x 114.3 > 5 x 120
so we can USE BMW WHEELS!!

i dont even get why companies have sizes below 20mm
you need at least a 20mm spacer to clear the stock studs
or they protrude past the spacer an make it impossible to put your rim on
so these are pointless for anything less then 25mm almost
at least that was my experience with the ichiba ones.
unless im missing something?

If it's a bolt on spacer and the studs stick past the spacer, some wheels have machined/cast spaces on the backside of the mounting surface which accommodate the "extra" studs sticking out.

make a set of 15mm bolt on spacers and then sets of 5mm slip on spacers that lock into the back of the bolt on ones so that people can buy exactly what they need for their wheels and then fine tune them if they get different wheels or accidentally buy too much
!Zar!
06-26-2010, 01:43 PM
Fifteen and twenty-five mil.
Can't really choose one, because everyone has different wants/needs.
Making anything bigger than 30mm is not really standard. But then again, there are people running 50mm spacers, so to each their own.
