I have an s13 with an s14 sr20 that is fully built. The old pfc fried. So I bought a new one and I am a little new to the tuning so I need help. I have 650cc injectors, z32 maf, and a gt2871rs. I dont know if i need to give more info but I can. Everything works, I can hear the fuel pump and the coil packs had power but I didnt check for spark. Anyway can anyone help me program the pfc or do i need to take it to a tuning shop?

Thanks

You should just take it to Driftspeed. They are power fc specialist. Located in Los alamitos.

Or PM Steve Shadows to either mail you a PFC tune to get it running and drive it to his shop to do a full tune...

Alright thanks guys.
I went into driftspeed and they charge 150 an hour and he said it would take 2-3 hours. He also said that I cannot upload a map onto the unit now. Is that true?

I found out the car should still start untuned but run like shit. So I checked for spark. none. The car was running before on the exact same setup and the pfc fried so I got another one. What could be the problem?

Did you ask Koji (guy with long hair) ?
Tuning is $150 hour, but i think diagnose is $80-$90 an hour.
You shouldn't run new power-fc, until the problem on harness is solved, you will fry it again.
Tuning typically takes 1-3hours depends on the car. Less problem with car(miss fire, unstable boost.....etc) faster they can do it.

throw the Stock injectors and MAFS back on reintitalize the PFC (OR throw the stock ECU on) and it should drive DO NOT BOOST IT.

I am not doing anything with the car untill the wiring is fixed. I went into driftspeed and they told me the rate but I dont want to do anything until the wiring is fixed. i am thinking of having gsxrjjordan do it. As far as putting th e old injectors and maf in I do not have them. I can come across some injectors but not a maf. I was told the car should still start untuned so I am going to get the wiring done and see whats up.

Everything is good now but I am getting no spark. I am getting 12v to the middle wire on the connectors to the coil packs but thats it. should there be power in the other two wires? When cranking?

Bad coilpack?

Bad coilpack?

I doubt it because it was running before the old ecu fried and now putting in the new one. the old fried because of a short and the car was rewired. I checked all the wire and they all look and it has power so maybe its the plugs? Kinda ironic for all to go out at once.

How do you know the old ECU was fried? Maybe you blew the 75 AMP fuse? If you say youre having wiring issues it could be a possibility.

I never checked the fuse but thanks. But would they still have power to the middle wire if the fuse was out? And I knew the other ecu actually its a power fc was fried because i took the cover off and saw it

you should be able to tell the power fc that you have a certain size of injector and it should be able to compensate for it somewhat within the basemap. I just installed mine and it had a program saved that was saved for 740 cc injectors. So look into that. maybe that will help.

I need to upload the old map onto it but I am waiting for it to get emailed to me. But the car should still start. I am not getting spark and I dont know why. The old ecu fried so it was rewired and now it wont spark but I am getting 12v to the middle wire on the plugs on the coil packs but I am not sure if the other are supposed to have any power?

really? where did you find this option?

last i checked we had to make % corrections... but im not a tuner so, fill me in!

Im pretty sure you have to do that on the comp. The fc commander is pretty limited and very confusing a least for now

You can change for injector size with the hand held.

good post

correction % isnt hard to figure out

When first doing the injector correction, make the number a little larger than you should, just to be safe......flowrate is not necessarily perfectly linear with duty cycle...

btw i have a datalogit.. it's still correction ;)
there are programs for other platforms that will do self corrections including target afrs but i dont think theres any for the sr ...

maybe you are running a different version of fc-edit?

Another vouch for Koji at drift speed. He tuned my friends fd, very through with the tune.
