"Hey, SPIDERLONE... Are you a vendor or something? You seem to have a very high trader rating and a whole lot of posts. I heard that people need a vendor account to sell alot of stuff on the Zilvia and to sell to people who have posted on the wtb forums. I know of some people who got banned because they were selling alot of parts on Zilvia and the mods said that they needed a vendor account......

Different rules for different folks...?

How does that all work out...?"

END QUOTE>

My question is: Whats the difference between a guy/gal with a whole lot of parts laying around and a guy/gal who owns a shop and has a bunch of parts laying around......

What if a shop owner happens to have a bunch of parts at his/her house that are just taking up space and they need to get rid of them? What makes their parts different from those of the average Joe/Joan?

I am really curious because from what i hear, there seems to some sort of double standard at play here. Perhaps "discrimination" even.......

I have no dog in this fight so its neither here nor there to me. Just want to make sure I have not joined some sort of fascist website that touts around what ever little influence they may have for their own indulgence.

What's the verdict... "Zilvia: Fair or Unfair..."

I would just recommend making the rules on vendor/private sales more explicit.

Perhaps put a limit on the number of FS threads one is allowed in a given period if they don't have a vendor account.

Its already understood that if you are selling something in mass in one thread, you should have a vendor account regardless.

So you're having an issue with this forum due to hearsay?

Wow.

Why not PM an admin about this?

The issue is that you takes a while for mods to notice shit like this. Takes time and pattern before it becomes apparent that somebody is running a full time business slanging parts vs somebody who is parting out a car.

If they notice it, they usually notify the seller about it to get an explanation on whats going on. Better yet, there has been folks who got hit up because they dimed themselves out on a thread, about how theyre slanging parts.

SPIDERLONE seems to be taking this very personal. He was just an example but perhaps I struck a nerve. Sorry if I exposed this guy. I sure didn't mean to put a spotlight on him or his operation. But perhaps he did a better job of putting the spotlight on himself by kicking up dust.

He sent me a few PM's a few minutes ago with lots of very not nice things to say too, lol. Man, this guy sure drops the F bomb when he's mad.

Dude, I was just asking you a question. Did you read carefully. Look at the top of this thread. I started it with the post that I addressed to you, then I posted a question for the Zilvia community to discuss. Why are you taking this as a personal assault on your person. No one is out to get you. Especially not me. I'm new to Zilvia and so I was not sure how the whole thing worked. That's why i posted up the question. "Is there a double standard?" ..."Fair or unfair". Read it carefully. You were just an example. I never guessed i would have been dead on balls accurate. Your not a vendor. I got it. Ok...?

Just one more question though. You said to me in a PM that (quote) "...yes i have all kind of parts laing around if you must know..." (end quote) but then went on to say (quote) "I still have parts and i have parts coming in and out all the time." (end quote)

So, you sell the parts that are laying around for money. Buts thats not the end of it, right? Then you get more parts and sell those for money too. When you run out, you get more parts and get more money, right? How is that not a business?

I have had enough of this shit-slinging.
If you have an issue with someone, I strongly suggest you either...

PM them to resolve it
PM an admin/mod (situation dependent, this was an admin issue until you started arguring)
DO NOT START THREADS TO CALL PEOPLE OUT!!!!

That third one is important in the interest of not pissing off the staff around here.
This thread accomplishes nothing at all but the inciting of an argument, which I will not have on my watch.
