if im not mistaken, you may only need a 50 x 2 pyramid amp to run those...hehehe j/k...sort off

no... dont believe the wattage, people who do are the essentially stereo ricers, you know the ones who are stupid.

at work we had these subs that claimed 600 peak and 300 rms, we put a 150 x 2 pyramid up to it and it couldnt handle the power...

you &nbsp;really only need a modetly powerful amplifier, perhaps a 150 - 200 watt per channel dealie and keep teh gain down. something like a kenwood would do the trick...

basically, unless it;s something like alpine, ppi, kicker,JL,cdt, ads, boston, audiobahn, soundSTREAM,etc .

then they are all out, flat out, plain out lying their ass off. if you put a ppi 720 by 2 up to those you'll start a fire.

i dont know the way they rate those things, everyone has their theory,i've heard several, just use a moderate amp..

i think with $150 you could get a solid brand new amp to run those quite well..

i may be chinese but i sure cant right it.

well heres the thing me speakers max (each) at 1000watts and average at 500. &nbsp;i wanna quad more than anything im not really lookin for quality i just wanna blow my ears to oblivion. later on ill go for quality. 2000watts max together and im gonna try to get a 1500 so i dont f* up the speakers. &nbsp;im lookin to spend 200 bucks on one so if you can recomend one to me that would be awsome.

$200 on an amp to run subs of that power?<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> &nbsp; What's the minimum power that they can take? &nbsp; It's better to use too much power than too little...because w/ too much power you can always turn the gain down, but with too little, you can blow your speakers also. &nbsp; My friend underpowered subs in his parents Mercedes, and it put a nice little dent in the trunk (not so little). &nbsp;I have a 350 watt amp running a 10&quot; Kicker XPL, if I had it my way, it would be a 750 watt amp running it (but I don't want to spend anymore money on a system right now). &nbsp; Also, the higher wattage the amp is, the less stress it puts on it, so the clearer the sound will be.
