silencers suck, i dont know why but for some reason i think they look and are silly....And you can correct me if i'm wrong, but someone told me that they cancel out the small gains you would be seeing from putting &nbsp;anew exhaust on...

I LOVE my boyfriend's loud-ass exhaust. It's probably because the S14 horns are so weak, so when we drive his car, we use the exhaust instead of the horn, lol.

I should probably re-fill his horn fluid (haha!)

But, umm... yeah... it takes like 200 miles for it to break in. It will get louder. Especially with all the exhaust leaks you'll notice along the way <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>.

get a header...then you will need earmuffs...i think 5zigens sound real nice on modified cars, i say just give it some time also

Edit: or you could just scrap the 5zigen and put on dual 4&quot; piping to two flowmasters

I'd have to agree... you get 2.5&quot; piping throughout... only to choke it off at the end with a 1&quot; diameter plug. why not just get a quieter exhaust? I got an Apexi RS (WS), they don't look as nice, but they sound better with a more constant pulse. the N1's and Duals that I've heard always had that &quot;blurp blurp&quot; sound at lower rpm's. but that's just me, I prefer quiet engine, and louder stereo...

nitekids, if i were you i'd say enjoy the silence while you can...after a while, that exhaust is going to get on your nerves...especially when you are driving along at 3000rpms and you literally have to shout to talk to your passenger...at least that's the way it is with my exhaust, and it's an ultraflo...boo!

My N1 single and hotshot header make my car really freaking loud at times. I also striped the sound dampening material in the rear along with the seats. Its real cool when im autocrossing, but can get kinda anoying on the interstate.
