So i'm having a bitch of a time figuring out what happened to my car. It was running fine, no problems, no codes, etc. Put on a freddy intake manifold and tucked the wiring harness (shortened almost every wire in harness, soldered and shrink wrapped)
After putting everything back together, It started up easy and ran fine for a while. Then I noticed it was having a hard time starting up. Still ran fine for a while.
Now, it's hard to start, cylinder #5 is dead, really jerky while driving (pretty much undriveable), and I'm getting a ton of codes.
Codes: 11 (CAS), 21 (IGN), 34 (Knock)
The CAS code is new (just today) whereas the 21 and 34 were showing up yesterday. I think the 34 could be due to how crappy it's running, and not a wiring issue.
I double checked all the solder joints I made, they look good. All plugs are firing (turned CAS by hand and all make spark). All coils and plugs are good (switched them out with #5, no change)
Injectors are all clicking. When I pull plug #5 it's wet, so I think there's fuel, but why isn't it igniting? I can see the spark with my own eyes when I turn the CAS, could it be firing at the wrong time?
What would cause it to run fine one minute, and suddenly lose power in 1 cylinder?
Compression is good....
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to take this thing on a road trip next week. Thanks
