s13 sr's have the better heads, hot-shot style for KA's are still being used to this day, "PIGGYBACKS" are definitely not obselete, all those same ES, unorthodox, greddy, whiteline and FIDANZA parts are still great/effective and being used today. wtf dude?
whatsup with all these throwback threads?
You don't like 240's anymore? sell yours

Yeah, the piggyback systems are not obsolete just because there is newer stuff out there. I'm going stand alone, but I still respect the piggyback systems and rom tunes.

That being said. I still see ALL those parts. I agree. Whole cars would be better. But then that's more like the S-Chassis Nostalgia thread: http://zilvia.net/f/chat/229095-s-chassis-nostalgia-no-bandwaggon-jumpers.html

You also have to remember southern california is the epicenter of import performance so during that time while everyone else in the US is running piggy back systems alot of us were running stand alone systems. We would get all the top end shit first.
Also another thing is to find a tuning shop to even tune it wasn't even an option for you bfe boys while we had:

Fuck's sake, man - if you're going to spout things as though it's gospel, at least spell it right.
Non's last name is Fujita.
His shop was Enonvative Force.
Anyone thinking RB30S14 is Henry is an idiot. Henry's been back on Zilvia for quite awhile now, and if he intended to troll, he'd at least spell shit correctly.
Also, knock Henry all you want, but get over it - I have no doubt he realizes how stupid he behaved YEARS ago. He's suffered the consequences for his actions and while it may have been funny a few years ago, it's stale now.

I hate to be the one to say it, but there wasn't much happening anywhere until The Fast & The Furious hit theaters. As inaccurate as that movie was, it inspired a lot of kids. The import scene took off at that very moment. Up until then, I had only seen 2 Silvia's in the Los Angeles area. Yes... TWO, and they were bone stock - probably imported grey market by someone of Japanese descent in the import/export biz. I had no idea what they really were, but being a general automotive fanatic I definitely remembered each encounter.

I guess that depends on what you mean by "import scene". Most of it in Northridge was Honda Accords, lowered with rims & stereos. My friends in Ventura were into VW's and NeuSpeed in Camarillo was the place to go. That was about it... NOTHING like two years after F&F. Suddenly it seemed like every company was making import performance products.

maybe i was in it in the beginning then. a guy in my car club (his car is in the first movie) had a supra with over 600whp. there were many turbo Honda/Acura's, i had an SR in my 240sx, TT Audi S4 that ran with vipers, NSX with a 100shot. all this is before the first movie.

You WERE the beginning  No way I could have afforded a new Audi in the late 90's, nor an NSX... so you probably attracted the attention of what "scene" was there & it felt larger than it was. For me, like I said, spotted two Silvias in my 30 year LA history. Everything else was rims, lowering, stereos (like Fresh Prince said "in your Nissan sittin' on Lorenzos").

I agree with the OP completely. Anybody with year old parts on there car is full of fail. In fact if you dont have enough money to continuously update your car with the most expensive and best everytime a new fad comes out you shouldn't even own a 240... NS...NS
Although there are some extremes out there that could use some help.

OP got what he wanted, in that he got a rise out of everyone who responded.
He has done that every time he has been banned before -- one person even told us who it was in this thread -- and here we go once more.
Please don't feed the trolls, people.
