Got my new front bumper today, and theres a crack in the bottom part of it!!

Yeah i open up my new bumper today, and find a nice size, about 2 inches or so crack on the underside of the bumper. How difficult is that to repair? Just a lot of bondo and sanding?? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

that sucks... what bumper and how much was it? and who'd you get it from???

but if its on the bottom, or underside, i would just use bondo and sand it really smoothly...

SEM makes a product called "plastic bumper repair" and another called "problem plastic repair" Both will allow you to fill and repair the bumper, while still retaining the flexible nature of the bumper - which bondo will not.

both products come in a double syringe and mix like a 2 part epoxy.

To stop the crack from growing, drill a hole on each end, a little wider than the crack itself but not much, of the crack to alleviate pressure and prevent future cracking.

If its ABS, FIBERGLASS, or that plastic crap they sell on kits, you can use the fiberglass patch repair kit for fixing it from there.
