I recently bypassed the clutch damper on my car and for some reason the clutch doesn't engage now until the pedal is almost all the way to to top. Everything else feels great and there's no slack in it at all. I bled the line and topped off the master cylinder with brake fluid. It was fine before the delete. Is there any way to fix this?

Adjust clutch fork, look at the FSM on how to do this.

I was looking at it but it doesn't look like I can adjust it enough to put it back into position. Will it be enough?

The easiest way would be to search my posts for the word clutch pedal.

You should adjust the pedal for maximum stroke and then bleed the hell out of the line.

If it works well then u can adjust the pedal height to taste. If not then u have to go deeper.

try adjusting the pedal as well might help out. just did this for a buddy of mine and he loved it and i test drove his car before and after and it remained the same as far as pedal travel but the engagement was better & a lil more agressive due to an upgraded stage 1 clutch

Nissan calls for DOT3 brake fluid.

I want to know what clutch fluid he's talking about.

In my opinion, a "well set up" clutch system should not require much pedal throw to fully disengage the clutch.

On my car, their is about 1/2" of "free play" at the top.....pushing down an extra 1 inch or so fully disengages the clutch....

I hate cars where you have to push the clutch ALL the way down to disengage it.

I set my clutches to engage/disengage with about an inch or less of throw.

I would much rather have it about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom. I don't know maybe I'm just not used to it.

I will check out that clutch pedal thread though. Thanks a lot.

?????

That means the first 3-4 inches you push down on the pedal does NOTHING.

The only way you can have it setup like that is to either have massive amounts of bubbles in the system, as far as i know....
