Ok I posted about a year and half ago and have found no resolution and have spent a ton of money after a simple clutch/flywheel replacement Feb of last year. Basically, put the car in shop because it was time to replace the clutch after 120K miles. I decided to go with a Fidanza alum flywheel and an Exedy stage 1 clutch and also put in new clutch mc and slave cylinder. Afterwards had all kinds of problems. A noice would start as soon as I would let off the accel especially around 40mph as the car slowed down it would would go away. Occasionally it would do it during accel but not as consistent. This started right after I got the clutch/flywheel put in. Then shortly after that I noticed that the rearend would shutter and wasn't smooth going up a hill and there was a squeeling noise which sounded like it was coming from the middle of the driveshaft. I couldn't believe all this would start right after a clutch job. So, they said they thought the first noise was possibly the input shaft bearing inside the transmission. The guy that worked on it told me there was a guy at Urban nissan in Duncanville who was very well known and good at fixing nissans. So, took it there and he basically said the same thing. 2 options: rebuild all major bearings in tranny or get new one. I decided on new bec if they found other stuff the price for repair was going to go up. On the other issues with the rearend shuttering and squeeling from driveshaft they found the u joints on the driveshaft were binding then the driveshaft shop they used to rebuild the u joints said it was way out of balance (this didn't add cost-they actually gave it to me at the price of just rebuilding the u joints). So basically a new driveshaft was put in. Ok so after all this the noise was still there in the tranns or clutch. Though, they said they didn't hear it. Of course the technician only drove it around the block. I took it back and they agreed so they said put in oem clutch and my orig flywheel in to see what would happen so did that and 90% of noise went away. The driveshaft issues seem to be ok. So I went with it. As of last Nov the clutch or something seemed to be slipping. When I try to accel it doesnt accel smoothly. Seemed to start just right after letting off the clutch in second gear but now its doing it in all gears during accel. ALSO the noise has come back, though, not quite as bad as it was with the stage 1 clutch in but is same noise and has gotten worse in last 9mnths or so. I spend a ton of money and am at a loss at this point. Anyone have any similar experiences?? I did hit a dip and slammed into a curb on the left side about 4 years before having the clutch replaced last year but it wasnt doing any of this then. Car was checked for frame damage and there was none. I bend one A frame suspension bracket which I replaced and left rear tire had a small bulge in it. Overall, this car is in very good shape so its not like I've ragged on it much. Well, hope someone has some good ideas. I guess I'll be taking it back in a week or 2.

thanks

Center Bearing Carrier bearing.... Possibly...

Stock is 2 piece driveshaft... There is a bearing that bolts up into the car that holds the driveshaft up, that can squeal when not installed correctly or need a new one. Its very common....

Might be a bad 1st install... but yeah....

The whole driveshaft was replaced so it has a new carrier bearing of abt a yr ago. Yes it is a 2 piece driveshaft. Oem clutch kit also has new pilot and throwout bearings.

I would try another rear differential... if it ain't the diff, then its the tranny.... Diff you can replace yourself, but tranny is tougher... SOOO....

Try a new diff and oils.... If you are sure its from the drivetrain...

so i have a question guys..might be dumb but any answers?

My clutch grabs fine but sometimes slips and sometime grips, Clutch pedal feels ridiculously loose and super soft yet engages. WOuld this be an issue if the slave cylinder gave out??

I think it would be the first clutch install since most of the noise went away when the old clutch was reinstalled.
