Speciallyized versions of the civic engine that are built to rev higher and make more power, nothing more nothing less... they are also "known" for making cars with better all around performance, but for the most part they just take honda engines and make em better. They are widely considered one of the best engines you can get for your honda if yo uare staying n/a

yup - Spoon is to Honda what a company like Tomei is to Nissan.
Yes you can buy a crate motor; yes is it badass; no they don't make the block/head - they just pack it full of goodies <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

They do and make much more that previously stated. There range of cars includes civic, rsx, s2000, integra. They create and distribute their own parts. They also control an extensive research and test facility for honda. They sell everything from drain plugs to rods and pistons. For the most part they are just an over priced alternative to mugen parts. Two things that have made this company popular in a mainstream basis would be "fast and the furious" and "Gran Turismo" but they have been in production for a much longer time than the existance of the two. Spoon is not limited to just engines they sell very well manufactured and overpriced suspension products and rims and aero-parts. Just look at the website and take it all in.

Spoon does strictly Group A (or B?) circuit racing. This is mostly associated with their Civics and sometimes Integras. Their specific group has a certain horsepower limit to stay and qualify within their class. Spoon crate engines were built for endurance, not power. So they balance out their engine and build it to it's maximum potential while staying within the guidelines of their class. Of course, they have the same, if not similar, parts available for the masses to purchase and whore the great name of "Spoon Sports".
