I tried to research but came up empty hande so if a thread already exist please re-direct me! Anyways I had a stock 6 rear diff n axles which is a 4.08. My rear was welded n I blew the spider gears so I ended up getting a 93' J30 rear with 5 bolt axles and from what I've researched, has a lower gear ratio of 3.86 I believe. What I'm trying to
find out is what the final
ratio would be with my 18x9.5" wheels. I know the taller wheels make the ratio a bit higher n my
car feels Quite a bit less quicker than before. I understand that with a taller gear being 3.86 as opposed to a 4.08 will affect me, it's just, dam my 76 corolla with a 3TC feels like it would pull hard on my car with 12lbs of boost on my SR lol. Anywho, possitive or negative responses r welcome lol. Noob ? Or not it's worth the extension of knowlege. Thanks guys

So you want to know what final drive is on J30 diff? J30 is taller 3.9:1. You arent going to accelerate as quickly. If you want to accelerate get another 240 diff.

The only difference your wheels are going to make is maybe attributing more unsprung weight. Depending on how low profile your tires are your 18" wheel and tire package may have the same diameter as stock wheel and tire combo.
