Heres a review on it.
I bought mine I believe for $270 at a local store. My first impressions when I opened the box up was WTF, no stand..... Yeah, you pay $270 dollars for this small little thing thats probably worth about $60 bucks top to make and they can't include a nice stand for it for free. Also they don't include the G sensor which I think they should have included. Half the functions on the device require that g sensor. *its about $70 bucks for the g sensor at local shops, i still havn't bought mine yet after 4 months*
Anyways, there are 2 booklets that come on with the rsm. One tells you how to install the device, pretty thick actually. UM..... of all the ecu's it list, sr20det, rb20/25/26, bluebird, etc....... it doesn't give us spec ecus. I had to find someone with a fsm to give me the ecu pinouts.
Once that was done, I tapped the ecu lines and routed the wire. There is this rubberish sleeve that the wire is surrounded in. I thought It was heatshrink tubing. I was wrong :-D.... I kept using my torch and lighting it up but it wouldn't shrink... Kinda burned some of the rubber sleeve......hahahah
Anyways, my impressions with the device are pretty good. The new look is great *buy the stand or else you'll scatch the face of it. It has alot of functions in it. I set it to list 4 channels... meaning it tells me what the cars up to I.E. REV, SPEED *in Km*, Battery, Lateral G's
The acceracy is superb with the REV function. You can switch it to one channel which allows it to show this big font saying your RPM's Acts like a digital Gauge.
Um... I havn't done the measuring test stuff yet because I havn't got the g sensor.
And the main reason I got it was for the Speed limiter function..... :aw:
It works :-D.......... I don't go that high usually but it works. I had plans to drop the rb25 in there like 2 months ago but havn't had time in doing so.
A rating of 10....
I give it a 8 out of 10
Why, APEXi Is being little stingy bitches and didn't bother to include a stand or the sensor for the amount I paid for it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
