I think I need a stronger spring in my bov. It has a 9 psi spring.. should I get a 11 or 12 psi spring

what is your vac @ idle. will tell you which you need. My car however isnt running just yet, so I ordered mine with a 10psi spring.

you dont have a boost/vac gauge?

also, that doesnt look like a 9lb spring. The bov is opening pretty early. Mine didnt open until 4k if you are free revving it

so should I get a 11 or 12 psi spring.. also does it matter the bov is close to the throttle body?

There is more pressure Turbo -> IC then IC -> Throttle Body.

A BOV closer to the TB is a better setup, but the Sound is louder closer to the turbo.

To Rice or Not to Rice, that is the question.

i am also having trouble with my tial bov,i have it installed on the cold pipe with a -11 psi spring (unpainted) my engine pulls 20 inhg. with the tial my car surges terribly and doesnt seem to blow off at full load.

i have seen posts talking about the valve being pulled open at idle and the vid you posted is a perfect example. i would try shimming your current spring with washers before purchasing the 11 psi spring..

ill be purchasing the 7 psi and 9 psi springs to try and sort out my surging issue
