Since I have seen people try to do this and haven't gotten it to work I am posting this guide. Mods please sticky.

This is what a link to a Vimeo video would look like.

To embed it in your post you want to take the part after the backslash (italicized above) and wrap it in tags. You can use the http://icandy.zilvia.net/img/icons/vimeo.gif icon to do this when posting. It should look like so.

This is what a regular link for a Youtube video would look like.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLGcWNiOUn8
You want to take the part after the v= in the link (italicized above) and wrap it in . You can use the http://icandy.zilvia.net/img/icons/youtube.gif icon to do this when posting. It should look like so.

Youtube can be tricky and the link may look like a mess like this.

You want to get the part after the v= and the first ampersand (the & symbol, yes that's what its called).

For Youtube videos offered in High Definition the part that you need from the link is the same but the tags are . You can use the http://icandy.zilvia.net/img/icons/youtubehd.gif icon to do this when posting. It should look like so.
