i have a stock rb25 with an auto trans.
wired and ready to go for an s13,
have a mishi radiator, soon getting a trans cooler as well as some fans.
it runs great and has roughly 43,000 miles on it.
it's currently in a vert as i'm waiting for summer so i can work more once the semester is over to fund for mods.

i have an offer from a guy for an sr.
my coupe (where the rb is going) is not necessarily my DD,
but i drive it everyday after my classes are over,
and i'd like to keep it that way.

i know sr's are reliable and people say rb's are just as reliable if not more.

so anyway,
i got an offer for an sr, here's the mods list:
"The engine is a blacktop sr20det. Has cometic headgasket, arp headstuds, supertech valve springs, supertech valves, supertech valve guides installed on the head as well as a new water pump. It would come with the tranny"

h's asking if i'd trade straight across.
now, my rb25 runs strong and idles great,
and im not sure of the condition of the sr.

i was so set on saving for a 5spd swap in the summer since i'd be working more,
but if i trade i wont have to deal with the swap (which shouldn't be a factor anyway)

what would you guys do?
i know it's ultimately my decision,
but some input would be nice ;)

Really confusing... You are the one with the Rb25 right? Andd you want an sr20? I say keep the rb25... Itll make your dick bigger.

lol
well, it's not that i want the sr instead of an rb.
its just one of those "cost-effective" decisions.
i've heard and wayyy too much on how sr's are cheaper to maintain.

i'm a college kid so money is always tight.

but i think you guys are right.
the reason i got the 25 in the first place is because if i went sr,
i'd feel like i'm settling.

thanks for the replies

yea sr parts are cheaper then rb parts. but you get more out of a rb then you will out of a sr. If you want a srr do it. post pics of both cars so we can see what your looking at.
