Alrighty, I need some new rear tires and right now I have a 225/45/17 (Fuzion) stretched over a 9.5 inch wheel.

I heard that the falkens are good for stretching as well and potentially have better grip than the Fuzions.

Anyone have any personal input on the matter? I know with a stretched tire you only have so much contact patch, but these tires handle like ass.

Yeah I have the fuzions and they suck ass, but they stretch well. I'm just looking for input. Leaning towards Falkens.

Throw you guys for a loop... Let's add the federal 595 into the mix. Is it comparable?

^ That's why I made mention of you can only get so much contact patch with stretched tires, but I gotta find SOMETHING better than fking Fuzions, these things suck ass.

Also, what do you suggest. 512s? 452's?

Tire stretch thread..... and Falken RT615K's are good for stretching and have good compound grip. I stretch 215/45/17 on 10" wheels no problem.

Ziex sucks just as much.... hence RTs....

I'll price some out.

I may not be baller enough to afford them, or maybe I just think they cost more than they do.

What kind of budget are we talking here?

You're talking about grip, and stretch, then I hear ZRi then some guy is talking about Ziex.

You're basically talking about luxury cars and bmw vs. mercedes, but none of us have a budget to talk around.

lol @ strech + cheap tire = grip... that math doesnt add up.. federals, fuzions and hankook are all made by the same lil chiense kid. they suck for anything more then daily driving and even then they fail... If you want "grip" get a larger patch, man up and pull the rear quarters out a bit more and stuff a 255-275 in there.. get the falken rt615, the 452s are nice too...

Federals are made in Taiwan.

Hankook are made in Korea.

How does the same Chinese kid make the same tires?

Sub $140 a piece.

Okay okay, not looking for "Grip" per se, but these Fuzions are some shitty ass tires.

A main thing to consider is that they need to stretch on a 9.5 inch wide wheel and a lot of tires don't stretch well.

This is going to be like 70% street driving, and some occasional autocross shit.

Have OP given a thought on Falken FK452s?

They stretch nice and have decent grip for what they are.
