Installed an Exedy Stage 2 clutch in my s13. The 3 puck sprung disc dealio. It recommends a 500 km break in period or something, but given that the car isnt streeted I cant break it in as recommended. Any suggestions, or what have other people done in my shoes?

^^^ that is true for some clutches where they are recommended to be abused on in the first of use.
Its debatable like breaking in a motor....some say get on it on the first couple miles then some say baby it...

you can lift the car off the ground and put it on jack stands. Then start it up and put it in gear so that the clutch is actually engaged and then just let it run like that for a while. I think manufactures recomendations are geared towards longevity for daily driving, so you should be fine on just a track car.

this wont put any load on it really though as i know your supposed to put it in 4th/5th gear and lug it up hills to put load on to it (what spec calls for when i talked to them) they also recommend doing lots of upshifting and downshifting while driving...stop and go traffic is perfect for this
but than again i have friends that make sure it backs out the driveway than do a 2nd gear burnout in the street
so its all up to how you feel...ive seen both ways with numerous cars and never a problem

i need to figure this out to since i just got a spec stage 2 on my track only car...
anyone else...
i get the that it needs loads...and stop and go traffic would be a great way...but this isnt a street car anymore...
and the only way to get temp passes here in CA now, is by purposely failing smog, going to DMV and showing them ur failed smog reciept...and then theyll give you the month pass after the 50.00 fee...not to mention the smog fee you just payed to fail purposely...

from what i understand material can play a factor.
The way i see it its like a brake rotor. You want to bed in the brakes without glazing the pad. You want a transfer layer on the contacting flywheel surface so the clutch can grab better. Also you want that transfer layer to be smooth on the flywheel surface so you don't get any judder or hot spots that can cause deforming of the flywheel surface
