I need help concerning how I am suppose to use the following z32 30mm brake caliper hardware pieces.

http://charles.sykikchimp.org/images/300zxcaliperhw.jpg

1. What am I missing that would hold the pad alignment pins in place?

2. Am I missing any hardware that you don't see here? (besides rotors, pads, and lines)

3. What order are the shims suppose to be placed on the pads? is it different for inside/outside pads?

4. WTF are 6 & 7 for?? I tried putting them on the edges of the pad to hold the shims in place, but it makes the pads to wide to fit in the space provided.

5. Does 1 need to be centered somehow, and does the hump go at the bottom of the caliper (away from bleed valve) or top?

Charles - who thinks dealer parts departments can go to HELL :hammer:

I installed my 26mm 300zx brakes a couple weeks ago
you do not need to use the shims I'm not positive which way they go. usually the vented ones go on the pad the solid one goes on the outside. they are for stopping any squealing. mine don't squeal at all with no shims.

I used

4 pins (2 per side)
2 cross clips (1 per side)
2 clips (1 per side)

you don't have the clips pictured. they go between the 2 pad pins that slide through the calipers and pads and out the other side. then each pin is connected using these clips

www.pdm-racing.com sells them

btw I didn't use those small clips 6 and 7 either. works fine. even pdm's full kit doesn't include them
