west los angeles sport car club meet V.. aug 2 2003 ..are you goin?

just a little reminder to those ... july is the sports car meet time and this is part v. if you have been to the previous ones.. you know that this isnt an ordinary meet but a special one.. every car make and model are welcome regardless what year they were made. 600 cars are anticipated and Toyota appears to have the stronghold and i want nissan to be the second. We are out numbered. ......help !!

i don't know man, i remember last year the meet was seperated by cops, 'cause we were meeting on a parking lot w/o permission. if i'm thinking of a right one...

last year this meet took place at the same time as the 240sx convention. a bunch of guys crashed our meet afterwards, it was funny.

but only dum dums would hang around long because so many illegal mods on cars..and if the lot wasnt ok'd..duh.

i dunno, i don't think my car "represents" the 240sx well against a bunch of hot exotics. But even the best 240 show cars look pathetic parked next to one of those.

I think 240's with the right mods can stand a chance with those cars.

that s14 looks really lame IMO. if you actually show a picture of the entire car, you'll understand why. strawberry face with nothing else.

i don't understand why some people stick a front end conversion on their car before anything else. before nice wheels, before suspension, before engine...
the only good reason for doing that is a front end collision, even then... it still looks lame on a stock car.

but, yes i've seen plenty of really nice 240s, non's s14, the jspec cars, jdm rice (RIP), etc etc.

normally, they stand out, but again, at a show like the sports car meet, they don't really turn heads. Its a money thing. bling bling :coolugh:

originally , this post was goin to be for the "MR2/SILVIA/180SX" meet. but me and a friend postponed it for now when we found out it will clash against the SCCM. Well anyway how many of you are interested of having a meet with the SW20/AW11 guys? yeah i know a lot. if we can have more 240sx sign up for the SCCM, there is a good reason that me and my sw20 buddy can have both clubs meet a place prior to attending the SCCM. it will be such a blast mr2s and silvias coming in at the same time. :boink:

I was at the last meet and in my supra =) when we crashed the 240 convention. It was real nice. I'm sure Mani made arrangements so the incident with the 1 cop that killed everything (last time) won't happen again (hopefully).
