for some reason, my '91 keeps dying. it seems to do it when I decelerate hard, or sometimes just under normal deceleration. And sometimes, fairly frequently, under deceleration, when i'm almost stopped, the car will go to like 200-300 rpm, and almost die, but when i get completely stopped, it goes back up to normal idle, and runs just fine. I seem to get these problems more often when it's raining or damp outside. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I sometimes had problems like this when depressing the clutch. Never knew what it was the cause.

Look at the idel control adjustment.
I know an E model has a sticking vortex generator in the intake and I lubed my up and solved that problem (plates that move in the intake).
After I rawhide mine (usual 1100 RPM) it drops to a proper 800. I think mine is suffereing from needing to be reved more frequent due to the 20MPH 30 min. drive to work each day..I do try to wring it out some each day..
Also see if the AC idel switch solinoid is working.

Check all of your sensors. Also, make sure the connections on the sensors are plugged in correctly. My 240 did that and I ended up having to replace the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. $$$$$$$ Nissan wanted $450 for it, but I got lucky and was able to find one at the local junkyard for $50 :D

i was reading and people were writing about cleaning the AIV or IAA valve, something like that. I have no clue what those are, and where they are located, i wish somewhat had a write-up on cleaning them or having pics of what it looks like.
