As title states. I'm rebuilding my redtop 13 motor with stock bottom end. Was wondering if I will get any benefit by using the ACL standard race bearings as opposed to OEM bearings. The head will have mild cams (poncams) with stock springs/valves and what not.

So are the bearings worth the money for such a mild build?

Use the ACL or the GTI-r Bearings. Better Lubrication passages. For longer lasting, with your setup, using even the factory bearing will last.

On the Garage BOSO S15 I used stock bearing to power Enterprise Race bearings, for a complete season I tear my engine down and they all look good same wear. Just make sure during assembly clean clean clean, any kind of dirt will destroy your engine.
