specs on motor
260 hp
285 lbs tq
Like others in the VQ series, the new 4.0-liter version includes such advanced design features as Electronic Throttle Control with secondary mapping in 4LO (4x4 models), Continuous Valve Timing Control (C-VTC), Nissan variable Induction Control System (NICS), silent timing chain, microfinished camshaft and crankshaft surfaces, molybdenum-coated pistons, resin intake manifold, digital knock control system, high capacity muffler, lightweight aluminum block and platinum-tipped spark plugs, forged internals.
built to take boost. but it does not need it by any means. makes mad low end torque. there is a super charger kit for the motor. turbos on the other hand would have to be a fab job and tuned either stand alone or by a place called uprev.
any questions you have im pretty knowledged in the motor and things needed to do a swap like this. and the weight to power. is godly. doesnt weight i think but 30 pounds more than a ka24de. this is why i heavily considered putting it into my 240. but ive decided to go a different route.
or this can simply be used to go into a nissan vehicle as a replacement engine. this motor comes in xterra, pathfinder, and frontier. can drop right into a titan, a 350z, 370z, g35 without any modifications what so ever.
thanks for the interest, im located in IL, 62010.
looking to trade for an sr swap, coilovers, 5-lug swap. for a hatch. 2000 for the whole shebang. buyer pays shipping. maybe willing to meet if you make it worth my time.
you can go check online for prices on this motor, you wont find one near my condition for my price. i can bet its going to be higher price for way more miles
