wired up highbeams battery dead

So I wired up my highbeams last night from the lights then ran it to a inline fuse then ran it too the highbeam light switch and everything was workin fine then by the morning my battery was dead,Was I supposed to run a relay with the highbeams?Maybe I left the light on inside the car or somthing by accident but im thinking it had to do with the highbeams being wired let me know.

Your wiring description doesn't make sense! Does the vehicle have factory wiring in place?
If. so why,the inline fuse for a circuit that is functional and already in place? Unless you created another parallel circuit, I'm going to say while you were testing the lights you never started the car to charge the battery. Or whatever but, if the lights were off probably wasn't your new wiring.

Also give a full description of what your trying to do, and to what car it's being done too.
