I have searched, searched, searched and searched some more on this topic. I plan to go with or mirror the mazworx 2.2l bottom end for the sr along with a completely built head and all of the other supporting mods. I am very interested in borg warner turbos and am trying to decide between the s362 or s366. I want to make 600+ using e85 and a little more on race gas. I am not opposed to lag because I have a t70 on my car right now, but I don't want my new turbo to hit full boost (30+psi) at 7k. I am looking for educated input on this subject. thanks

A GT3582 would put you on the shorter end of what you want, and still build 30psi by 5k. Not much experience around here with BW turbos.

How do you plan to put 700HP to the ground?

Borg Warner turbos are fucking awesome, and they are VERY loud.

Highly suggest them.

I plan on going the 90mm bore with 9:1 compression with a fully built head with solid lifters, port and polish, opening up the valves and combustion chamber. I planned on either using a z32 5 speed tranny or going with a th400 auto. I would really like to stay manual but I know it would be alot faster with a stall and not having to manually shift gears.

i had a buddy that was runnign the BW bullseye on his civic hatch as a test vehicle for them, he made 800+ whp on 30 lbs. the turbos are great, very strong very reliable and their sizing works well to create large power with lower spool ups than most other turbos of similar size. When people in his class were running gt42R's he was running the bullseye making the same power but 2-3k rpm sooner

Depending on what boost levels you're able to run with E85, Precision and Turbonetics both make great billet comp wheel, large T3/small T4 turbos for the Evo/STI crowd. More than a few 8sec/700whp cars running in the 40psi range on T3 ~70mm turbos, 4" Vband exists and anti-surge comp housings. You should check out the Evo crowd as your 2.2L SR will probably flow the same as theirs motors, and there's FAR more <10sec Evos than SRs.
