Hey guys I seached through the forum and I couldn't really find anything that pertained to my situation. My car was running very rich blowing out black exhaust at full throttle stumbling at 600 rpm etc. Changed out the plugs and fuel filter and now it is running very good. I asked a local shop to advance my timing and I was reading that a 240sx has 20degrees BTDC stock timing. Now I read Project car magazine and they said they advanced their car 15 degrees btdc. However the guy that is gonna do my timing says that to advance timing you have to move the car 25 degree btdc. And I'll have to run super unleaded all the time. DO you think it's worth it to do the timing and who is right does advancing mean moving it to 15 degrees btdc or 25 degrees btdc? I'd ask the magazine but you don't know when they will get back to you.
