You see all these kids running around with Japanese letters on their hats, shirts, pants, and even their cars. I wonder if it's a big thing in Japan the have English letters on their clothes, or maybe it's cool to drive a cavalier with English letters on it. LOL

I trade stuff with this one guy in Japan all the time. I send him anything that has Lexus emblems on it, he gets like $200 for a emblem, because all our Lexus are badged Toyotas there. And Toyota sells the cavalier under their name. Thats why Bomex sells Cavalier kits if you ever noticed. Do a search on Yahoo and youll find alot of pages for the Toyo-Cav.

Slightly off topic...but.....American pop culture is HUGE over there..........people over there will pay big bucks for used pairs of Air Jordan shoes (decent condition of course), and other crap like that.

Yes, this is true. Chevy gave Toyota permission and rights to produce a Cavalier over there in Japan called the Toyota Cavalier.

Don't know about the engine, but it came with stock Bomex body kit and nice wheels and stuff. Came all done up from the factory.

I was playing Tokyo Extreme Racer and it had California plates on the cars. Is this for the US version or do people in Japan use California plates?

i heard of some honda guys wanting Acura badges..
and changing thier integs to USDM front ends..

u think we could trade ppl out (180) fronts for thier S13 fronts? since 180 parts are so expensive?

03-01-2002, 12:19 AM
Im sure you could find someone to swap with but you'll be paying alot for shipping and customs charges because its auto related out of Japan. That is of course you properly report whats in the box......

LOL
is this serious....
Thats how it is all over the WORLD... We picked up on Japanese culture the same way they do to ours... Heres a great example for ya'll

The next time you pick up your PS2 and play a game, you and i know that the game was most like developed, thought up, and made in japan.... But how many games do you see starring asian people....?!?!
Metal Gear 2 , Snake is a rough American dude and it takes place in New York and has to do with US Goverment, in FF7 Cloud is Blonde haired and Blue eyed.... in Resident Evil it takes place in the US and the stars are all american.... the the Japanese kids love it...

But in the US we need to catch the next Dragonball Z episode, (oh yea, think of what happens to there appearance when they change into super sayians) hahah

So yeah man, it plays back to them alot... I dont know about them loving Caviliers or not, but they like our culture and they #### sure know our language alot better then we know theres... So if i walk outside and see a kid wearing a shirt that has some Japanese letter it wouldn't surprise me if a kid is in Japan putting on a shirt that says "Jakes Towing and Transport" or something like that

I had an instructor that lived in japan for 10 years. Big fat white guy. probably 350lbs. He said asian chicks love american guys, b/c we are nice. He said all he had to do to pick up a chick was open a door for her. He said asian guys over there where assholes to the women.

He also said that the japanesse LOVE to put english on things. Even streest signs and stuff. He agreed that the screwed it up a lot too. He showed me the engrish site, and said that stuff was everywhere..

Over there, ppl stereotype white ppl as ppl with really good manners and very friend just like how white ppl here stereotype asians as being really smart or whatever.

Ive heard that the Jappanese really like the big V8 Muscle cars. Theres a foreign exchange student over here in Omaha that bought an old 260Z and dropped a chevy 305 with a 100 shot of nitrous in it. That same kid saw one of the guys i know putting an SR20DET into his 240SX, and the exchange student was all confused on why we would drop in a stock engine. Hes pretty cool.

Man I love to see Japanese pro drifters! I wonder is you get looked down there is you have a big engine with supercharger. Like people here get looked down for having turbos in their cars. Anyone know the Japanese version of a HIC?
