Cool man, hope you enjoy your stay here. See you're from Virginia, me too. I'm living a couple hours away from Atsugi in Chiba, other side of the Tokyo bay than you. Maybe I'll see you at some events and stuff.

I'm from Harrisonburg, graduated from JMU, etc. I have an S13 back home in storage, right now I'm rockin a Honda Stepwagon minivan over here..haha. Couple of my friends are trying to convince me to get an S14 since they are so cheap, but the problem is I don't have a place to park it. They're super strict about that over here, and I've got a third kid on the way, so it'll have to wait :bash:

Oh ok. Stepwagon huh? I don't think I've seen one of those. Yea if you got another lil one on the way, you need put the toys on hold if its too much. I'm still undecided on what to get when I get there. I'm bouncing between a S15 or a GTR. Or I may get another G35 and do a swap. I don't know. I got 4 years to get my project off the ground.

If you're going to be doing a lot of drifting I would stick with an S15 as they are cheaper to fix and you can get parts just about anywhere. I've talked to a couple people that have switched or are switching over from other cars to S13s-S15s (for drifting) because they are cheaper to fix...either way enjoy your stay here.

That is true about them being cheaper. I don't think I will be drifting it tho. I want it just for a DD and weekend track car. Nothing too serious but yet nothing too simple either.

Get an S14, more plentiful than 15s so parts are more readily available. Besides, everything on the underpinning (suspension) are interchangeable between S14s and S15s.

I'm from Atsugi. Just come by the Auto Hobby Shop there is always someone over there. About the 5 car tandems that was awesome we smoked the whole place out and Ken had fiberglass resine spilling out of his trunk lol. Check out yplatedrifting.com most of us are on there.

Dude, you guy's FAILED with the 5 car tandem! WHERE IS THE VIDEO! lol, jk! Yeah, ken's car is....well, it's very special these days! lol
Y-Plate is a good forum to get situated with a little piece of the scene out here, but it is a VERY slow moving forum. Mostly guys being bored at work I guess.
