So a year or so ago i slid out and my lower left bumper and lower quarter panel where that pinch weld flap is got pushed in. I had somme previous damage so the guy kinda pulled the damage out and its not as bad. the bumper is just a little scratched up. So to hide the damage i bought rear valances and it covers it fine. However on the bottom right corner of the valance it does not sit flush against the quarter panel. It has about a quarter to half inch of a gap becuase of the damaged quarter panel. So my question is what could i put on the back of the valance that expands or something that could go between the valance and the quarter panel to make up for the gap. i was thinking foam but that would get wet and hold moisture. So anyone with any tips is apprecaited. Also does valances hold moisture because of the plastic on metal and it was obviously hold moisture? thanks pete and i will grab pictures in a little bit.

You can get someone to fix it without paint for a couple hundred bucks max. If the damage isn't that bad like you say then the quarter panel should be repairable. If you're ok with using filler you should be ok with spray paint. If there is a gap then obviously the valences don't cover it fine. If the gap bugs you then fix the fucking car.

Do it in this step. Buy beer. Call friend for help. Drink beer. Drink one more beer.. Get drill. Look for the spot welds...drill them all... remove panel... Drink beer... Put new panel on. Weld them all ... Drink beer... Look at your work... Ask friend for approval... Drink beer ... Clean up... Drink beer... Go to sleep and u are done

i dont think his comment portrays him as a "dumbass" nor do i think its stupid.. he has a point.. i would say just take it to someone who can fix it properly rather than just TRYING to cover it up. sooner or later the work is going to have to be done. but whateves..its your car
