Transmission Problem

so i was traveling northbound on the BQE when my transmission went, won't catch at all in R,D or gear 2 and 1 "luckly moving fast enough to get off the high way" checked it out, fluid was fine clear red not burnt or what so ever, when shifting into reverse,drive, gear 1 & 2 i feel the engine slow down but still won't move, i'm thinking the torque convertor is done, or probably the clutch plates inside the tranny. also do hear wining noise from the bell housing, any ideas?
