Is it better if I get my flywheel lightened or should I just buy an aftermarket one?
How much and where could I get it done arround Torrance?
If you think it's better if I just bought one, which one do you recomend and what's the price?
I'm planning on getting a SR20 end of this year. Should I just stay with the stock one?
I'm asking this cause I'm changing my clutch now and I have everything off .

Thanks for your advice.

Hmmm, if your going to do the swap, I would wait 'till you finish the swap because the clutch/flywheel/etc are not interchangable. Also, I would get a proper aftermarket flywheel.

OS Giken is one of the best and you can get a super single clutch click that handle's up to 400hp. Thing to remember is that the rpm's wil also drop a lot quicker so you'll have to shift faster or rev match even on up shifts to drive smoothly.

I knew people were going to say that. I guess I'll wait a while.
If you get an aftermarket flywheel, do you need an aftermarket clutch?
Also how is it going to be different, in driving, if you have the aftermarket flywheel?

Thanks for your help wpayne

Huge difference.

Makes for finer control of the engine as well.

You will get use to drivability issues.

It is up the range and down faster...less enertia or centrifical force.

Yeah, get the everything if you can.

If you get a super single kit or perhaps a twin, the pedal will be harder to push down and will push back harder too. As far as effects, the lighter flywheel/plate/cover will require less force to spin(intertia), so it'll be able to rev faster but will also drop faster. Also, the clutch will also grap a lot harder so you'll need to get used to that. You will barely have a "half-clutch" so starting off hills and what no will be harder.

OS Giken and ORC(Ogura Racing Clutch)make some of the best clutches for the SR. A super single from either makers will run around $700-800 depending on where you get it.
