Redtop Code 12 HEEELLPPP!!!

Short Story: Other night it was raining came around a corner car got tail happy and i hit a curb. Car seemed okay just put a nice nick in the end tank of the intercooler.

Problems now: Upon driving home the car would not rev past 5500 RPMS. First thought Boost leak. Checked all clamps im good.

Than i drove it and now it wont rev past 2500 RPMS. And now it throws a Code 12.

Code 12 is MAF Sensor. I had a DOHC MAF laying around so i wired it in and still same problems.

Ive searched and search and some ppl said Coolant Temp sensor.

Any help is very very appreciated!!

Update: Replaced MAF reset ECU code 12 gone.

Now it wont rev past 5500 rpms, what could it be? I have no codes.

Check your 4th and 5th gear transmission sensors. They cut revs at like 6500 and 5500, or 5500 and 4500, I forgot exactly but make sure the wires arent shorting on each other because they DO limit your revs.

Are you driving it up to 5500RPM? or you're in neutral?

I am driving it up to 55oo RPMS.

it starts up fine, drives fine, creates boost fine.

and when you're making this push past 5500, what exactly happens?

Does it bog out, make funny sounds? what...

The car will not go past 5500 RPMS while driving it will if you nuetral rev it. At 5500 rpms its like its hitting the rev limiter or safe mode.
