Well, normally when you switch on the headlights, the tails are lit as well so people can see you at night... well not for me... My '89 s13's dashboard lights aren't working when I turn on the headlights and neither do the Tails..
I already checked my fuses, nope not it. What could be my problem??
plz help, I can't drive home at night without getting pulled over..
thnx

check your m101 and m125 grounds.
check your connector e109 that's coming off the light switch for B+. color G/R is B+ in and R/L is B+ out.

The "stick" switch on the steering wheel right? If that were the problem, wouldn't my headlights be disabled as well?? You know, since the switch to turn on my tails and dash light is the same switch that flips up and illuminates my headlights. My heads work perfectly fine...
Sorry for the double post.

Okay, 2 questions.
1) I only checked the fuses under the hood. Could this problem be caused by any of the fuses by the foot pedals?
2) Where are my ground wires located? (m101 and m125)

Check the fuses inside your car by the clutch pedal if not check to see what relays go for the headlights I had a similar problem. after 3 days of getting frustrated I took it to my mechanic he swapped out a 30 dollar relay and charged me 80 bucks. i'll never do that again learned how to test relays the day after. lol.

check the 15 amp fuse by the clutch pedal. that's probably it. it's on the right side of the fuses

I checked 15, it's fine. However! #13 is damaged. You can't even fit a fuse into it. Would 13 prevent my tails from turning on with the dash light??

it's the same thing bro. that fuse controls the dash AND the tail lights.

First of all check EVERY fuse in the kick panel, it'll probably be your kick panel before it's any of the fuses in the engine bay.
After you've checked all the fuses and made sure none of them were burnt come back.
If your dash isn't working then check the Room Lamp fuse

Now I come to find out that the previous owner of the car though he could complete the TAIL LAMP's circuit by stuffing twisted wire into it's slot. I guess it worked up until now. Well, I picked out the wire and i can see a bit of it still stuck, in fact, it was kind of melted. Anyway, I can't fit a 15amp into the slot. This HAS to be it. Do I need to get the whole unit replaced now?
